Dick Cheney was a chief of Staff to Presidents, served on the United States Congress as Secretary of Defense and was a part of the nation in various positions. Republicans and Democrats all respect his honesty. Cheney stated that he sees the role of an honest but discrete adviser in Bush's administration. Cheney expressed his excitement at taking the Republican vice-presidential nomination. Cheney said the future is bright for him working with a person who is able to work together with people of different political views and with common objectives. Richard Bruce Cheney is the father of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941, at Lincoln Nebraska. In the age of thirteen Richard and his family relocated across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper which was where his dad worked as the head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservation district.
